Senior First Aid - Workplace Level 2

Course Details

This is an online version of Red Cross’ highly regarded Senior First Aid (Workplace L2) course, and provides the fundamental principles, knowledge and skills to enable the first aider to provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses in the home or the workplace. The course content is completed online in the student’s own time, followed by an 8 hour practical skills instruction and assessment session at a Red Cross location with a certified Red Cross First Aid Trainer.

On successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency from the Health Training Package, HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid.

Assessment Method

The course includes several short quizzes and onscreen assessment activities. Upon successful completion of the online component, students can book into a 1 day Practical Skills Instruction and Assessment Session that provides practical instruction and assessment.

Course Prerequisites and Validity

There are no prerequisites for this course. Current industry standard is for this course to be updated every 3 years with the CPR component being updated every 12 months.

Course Duration

The online training component takes several hours and can be completed in sections at the student’s preferred schedule. Once registered, students have access to the course content for 12 months. The practical instruction and assessment takes 8 hours.
